Setting the standard, grandoak Noble Collection packs contain only 1900mm longboards with no short lengths, thus ensuring a high-end finish to the floor, wall, or ceiling aesthetic.

Grandoak Noble Collection has a 3mm solid oak wear layer which is stabilized by a multi-ply core. This produces a floor that is environmentally and dimensionally stable for our harsh Australian conditions.

Raw material only from a trusted source

Keeping in mind the meaning of wood in the environment, we treat it with due respect. The raw material, from which we produce our Melbourne wood flooring, is almost exclusively the wood from EU forests, where the management is conducted with preserving the constancy of ecosystems, its balanced development and environmental protection. The rest of the materials used to make our floors are exotic species from proven sources.

Naturally from start to finish

We see the environmental concern not only as a choice of the right wood but also adequate protection of the finished product. For this purpose, we only use lacquers and oils that do not contain solvents or harmful substances. The raw material is always processed to the end. In the high-pressure compression of oak and ash sawdust, a PDJ briquette is formed – our environmentally friendly alternative to firewood.

Flooring fx is focused on both environmental & safety when it comes to our timber flooring installation in Melbourne. We engineer our boards utilising fast-growing plantation timbers that are all sustainably harvested. The plantation timbers which don’t ever get seen are used to make up the engineered base as they are a far greener option than wasting precious species in substrate. For our slower-growing timbers such as Oak and Teak, we use a process which minimises the wear layer of these timbers to just the top 3-6 mm of the board to maximise their usability.
